Jakarta, Feb. 20 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency, known as Baznas, distributed 250 rice boxes and 400 Ramadan snack packages across Jakarta on Thursday to mark the first day of Ramadan 2026, underscoring efforts to channel charitable funds into direct food assistance.
The meals were delivered to orphanages and houses of worship in the capital as part of a broader Ramadan outreach program targeting vulnerable communities, said Saidah Sakwan, head of Baznas' distribution and utilization division, in a statement released here Friday.
