Jakarta, March 13 -- The National Alms Agency (Baznas), is distributing 74,228 iftar meal portions to people in Palestine to help ease their burden amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis during Ramadan.

Baznas Deputy II Imdadun Rahmat said the agency is delivering the food aid in stages to several regions across Gaza, including Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, Al Mawasi, Al Musaddar, and Al Buraij.

In a statement received on Friday, he explained that the initiative is dedicated to those currently sheltering in refugee camps, which were erected following widespread displacements caused by Israel's invasion of the Palestinian enclave.
