Indonesia reviews Apple services under new child protection rules
Jakarta, July 2 -- The Ministry of Communication and Digital has begun verifying 14 digital services owned by Apple to ensure their features comply with the child protection standards set out in the TUNAS Regulation.
"Fourteen Apple product services and features have been submitted to us," Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said in a statement on Thursday.
This information was also conveyed to Apple Managing Director of Asia Pacific Mike Orgill during a meeting with Minister Hafid on Wednesday (July 1).
The 14 services verified cover various products within the Apple ecosystem, including iMessage, Safari, Siri, Apple Music, Apple TV, and other digital services.
