Jakarta, Oct. 28 -- The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs affirmed its readiness to host the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Secretariat in Jakarta, aiming to strengthen RCEP's institutional framework and enhance regional economic cooperation.
"The establishment of the RCEP Secretariat is crucial for strengthening coordination, increasing transparency, and ensuring the relevance of RCEP cooperation," said Susiwijono Moegiarso, the Secretary of the coordinating ministry, regarding the 5th RCEP Leaders' Summit, in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
RCEP has 15 member countries: 10 ASEAN member states and 5 ASEAN partner countries (China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand).
