Jakarta, Jan. 3 -- The Indonesia's National Food Agency (Bapanas) is strengthening sorghum development in Karawang District and Bandung City, West Java, as a model of local food development by using processing technology.
"In this region, sorghum is being developed as an adaptive commodity that can be processed into various food products with higher economic value," Bapanas Deputy for Food Consumption Diversification and Food Safety Andriko Noto Susanto said in a statement here on Saturday.
He emphasized that Bapanas continues to promote food diversification based on local resources by utilizing innovation and processing technology.
