Jakarta, April 21 -- The government and industry are stepping up efforts to strengthen national energy security amid evolving global dynamics through the 2026 Indonesian Petroleum Association Convention and Exhibition (IPA Convex).

"The forum affirms our shared commitment to strengthening national energy security while maintaining the investment attractiveness of Indonesia's upstream oil and gas sector amid evolving global dynamics," said Marjolijn Wajong, executive director of the Indonesian Petroleum Association, in a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The association noted that rising geopolitical uncertainty has pushed energy security back to the top of national priorities, including in Indonesia.
