Tangerang, Banten, July 30 -- Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the government does not view one automotive technology as competing against another in advancing the transformation of Indonesia's automotive industry.

Speaking at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday, Agus said various automotive technologies have equally important roles in achieving the country's emissions reduction targets while strengthening national energy security.
