Jakarta, March 13 -- The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has prepared a disaster early warning system (EWS) and the 112 emergency call center to support mitigation efforts during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"We have readied EWS support by delivering disaster information through national SMS alerts and digital television broadcasts," said Wayan Toni Supriyanto, Director General of Digital Infrastructure, in Jakarta on Friday.

The EWS will send notifications to residents via digital TV if a disaster occurs in their local area. To ensure accurate alerts, the public is advised to set up their digital TV services according to their home zip codes.
