Indonesia offers 10,000 tons of rice export to Singapore
Gresik, E. Java, June 29 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman offered to export at least 10,000 tons of premium rice to Singapore, supported by a robust national rice reserve that has outgrown state storage capacities.
"We propose exporting a minimum of 10,000 tons of rice from Indonesia to Singapore," Minister Amran said in his statement, confirmed from Gresik, East Java, on Monday.
The export plan was discussed during a bilateral meeting with Singaporean Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu at the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters in Jakarta, to strengthen food cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
