Jakarta, March 16 -- The Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry said it is ready to carry out President Prabowo Subianto's directive on energy conservation amid the threat of an energy crisis stemming from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Deputy Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Yuliot Tanjung said efficiency measures will be implemented comprehensively, covering fuel use for power plants, gas utilization, and operational evaluations across all energy sector.

"From the operational side, detailed evaluations will also be conducted in every activity related to energy use," Tanjung said after inspecting the Padalarang Fuel Terminal, located in West Bandung, West Java, on Monday.
