Jakarta, May 2 -- State-run fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia has been able to maintain supply stability amid global turmoil, Presidential Special Envoy for Energy and Environment Hashim Djojohadikusumo said.
"While many countries are facing supply disruptions, Indonesia is in a relatively safe position," Hashim said in his statement, Saturday.
According to him, several countries are even looking to Indonesia to meet their fertilizer needs.
"Many of our neighboring countries are requesting it," Hashim said.
Among those countries, he mentioned Australia's plan to import 250,000 tons of urea from Indonesia.
Demand for Indonesian fertilizer has also come from India, which reportedly needs up to 500,000 tons, he added.
