Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Indonesia has officially launched an economic stimulus program for the first quarter to facilitate public mobility and maintain purchasing power, particularly ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"This program includes transportation discounts, a work from anywhere (WFA) scheme, and the distribution of food assistance to ensure smoother mobility and more affordable travel costs," Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Under the transportation incentives, the government is offering a 30 percent fare reduction for trains and Pelni sea transport for the period March 14-29, 2026 , as well as discounts of 17-18 percent on economy-class airfares during the same period.
