Indonesia, June 15 -- Statistics Indonesia (BPS) has designated Southeast Sulawesi Province as the launch site for the simultaneous nationwide field data collection of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026).

"Today marks an important moment as it signals the start of simultaneous field data collection for the 2026 Economic Census across Indonesia. From Southeast Sulawesi, we are taking a significant step to record the nation's economy," Deputy Head of BPS Sonny Harmadi said here on Monday.

Harmadi noted that the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government's commitment reflects a shared vision that on-target development must be based on high-quality data.
