Indonesia, Aug. 14 -- The Ministry of Health is stepping up various intervention and elimination efforts against leprosy in 111 districts and cities across Indonesia.

Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono stated that the leprosy elimination efforts require close collaboration between regional and central governments, involving both the health and social sectors.

"Therefore, our target for leprosy eradication has been raised to 111 regencies and cities by 2030," he remarked after a working visit to Tangerang District, Banten, on Thursday.
