Indonesia inks halal assurance deals with foreign halal bodies
Jakarta, May 21 -- The Indonesian Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) in Jakarta on Wednesday signed agreements on halal product assurance with several halal certification institutions from Morocco, Italy, France, South Korea, and China.
"This collaboration not only strengthens bilateral relations between Indonesia and our partner countries but also opens up broader opportunities for halal products to enter and be accepted in the international market," BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said in a statement on Thursday.
The first partnership is with the Moroccan Institute of Standardization (IMANOR), realized through a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) on halal certificates between the two countries.
