Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- Chairperson of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, has revealed that the Indonesian government is currently finalizing a framework to streamline regulations with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

The initiative is part of the broader Government Technology (GovTech) development program, which aims to improve efficiency in public administration, with AI technology expected to reduce cases of misconduct.

"We're currently working on AI-based deregulation, which we plan to present to President Prabowo Subianto. If this succeeds, then irregularities and misconduct will certainly decrease," Pandjaitan told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday.
