Kota Depok, Aug. 28 -- Indonesia's National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) has formed a Cyber Incident Response Team to strengthen national cyber resilience following the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit held on August 26-28, 2025.

The cyber agency's Deputy for Cybersecurity and Economic Encryption Slamet Aji Pamungkas said Thursday the initiative underscores the need for shared responsibility across government, industry, and the public to protect critical infrastructure.

"We must not wait for incidents to act," Pamungkas said, urging that cybersecurity be integrated into system and software design from the outset.
