Jakarta, Aug. 1 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto announced that the 19 percent reciprocal tariff between Indonesia and the United States (US) will take effect on August 7, 2025.

He said the US has also announced this tariff policy for 92 other countries.

"The tariff has been announced to 92 countries. Indonesia has finalized (the agreement) and it will take effect on August 7," he stated on Friday.

According to Hartarto, Indonesia's 19 percent tariff is one of the lowest in Southeast Asia, with the exception of Singapore, which receives a 10 percent tariff from the US.
