Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the government expects Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli's two upcoming concerts in Indonesia to promote the country's tourism destinations and cultural attractions to a wider global audience.

Bocelli is scheduled to perform at the Borobudur Temple Compounds in Magelang, Central Java, on October 31 and at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) on November 3 as part of a world tour marking the 30th anniversary of his iconic album "Romanza."

Wardhana highlighted the significance of both venues for Indonesia's tourism sector, describing them as "heritage destinations" worthy of hosting world-class events.
