Jakarta, April 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto proposed incorporating roof tiles made from recycled plastic into public housing upgrade budgets to improve efficiency while addressing environmental concerns.

He floated the idea after reviewing recycled roof tile production at an integrated waste processing site (TPST) in Banyumas District, Central Java, on Tuesday.

"The roof tiles here are quite reliable and affordable. Maybe we can include such products in our housing renovation budgets," Prabowo remarked following the visit, as observed from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube broadcast from Jakarta.
