Jakarta, Oct. 29 -- Indonesia is exploring the possibility of hosting the Year of Creativity 2027 after the Ministry of Creative Economy met with a delegation from the World Creativity Organization (WCO) to discuss the proposal.

Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said hosting the event could showcase Indonesia's creative industries internationally while generating long-term economic benefits.

"This initiative presents a major opportunity to bring Indonesia's creative ecosystem to the global stage," Harsya said in an official statement released on Wednesday (October 28).

"We hope our participation will not be limited to hosting a ceremonial event, but will deliver sustainable economic impacts, expand international cooperation...
