Karawang, W Java, Oct. 9 -- Indonesia's top economic official said Thursday that new international trade agreements are expected to drive exports of local products, including automobiles, as the country pushes to expand market access.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the "3 Million Exports from Indonesia" event at PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said Indonesia is actively pursuing trade deals to tap into new markets.

"This aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's directive to open access to new markets and increase export quotas for Indonesian goods," Hartarto told reporters.
