Jakarta, Aug. 12 -- The Ministry of Forestry is currently drafting a proposal for the second phase of funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), amounting to US$80-90 million to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry sector.
Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni stated on Tuesday that the government has begun developing a results-based payment (RBP) funding proposal for efforts to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) under the GCF.
"This funding initiative will support the Ministry of Forestry in various aspects," he remarked at the Kick-Off Meeting Concept Note and New Funding Proposal for GCF REDD+ RBP Phase II in Jakarta.
