Jakarta, June 23 -- Indonesia's Trade Ministry on Tuesday flagged continued progress in industrial downstreaming after dispatching a shipment of fabricated structural steel worth US$216,000 to Canada.

The products were manufactured by PT Trimitra Fabrikasi Engineering (TFE) for export during the June 2026 shipment period.

Trade Ministry Director General for National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi said the shipment demonstrates Indonesia's ability to produce sophisticated, globally competitive manufacturing products.

"The Trade Ministry strongly supports efforts to increase exports of high-value-added manufactured products," Puntodewi said in a statement issued in Jakarta.
