Jakarta, March 25 -- Indonesia's Defense Ministry said the second Airbus A400M transport aircraft is expected to arrive at the end of March 2026.

Head of the Defense Information Bureau Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait said in Jakarta on Wednesday the aircraft will become the Air Force's second A400M after the first unit arrived on November 3, 2025.

It is currently en route from Seville, Spain, to Indonesia.

Rico said the arrival of the second aircraft will strengthen the Air Force's capability in safeguarding Indonesia's air territory.

The contract to purchase two A400M aircraft was signed by President Prabowo Subianto while serving as defense minister in 2021, on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow.
