Kota Palu, Sept. 28 -- Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas has begun rolling out an intellectual property (IP)-based financing scheme, with a credit ceiling of IDR10 trillion for 2026, to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) scale up.

"The government, through a coordination meeting with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, has established a credit ceiling of IDR10 trillion for IP-based financing this year," he said while delivering remarks at the MSME Festival (Gebyar UMKM) in Palu City on Sunday.

According to Supratman, the scheme allows intellectual property certificates, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents, to be used as collateral for bank loans.
