Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI) has provided US$8.5 million in financing to support a state-owned train manufacturer PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) in exporting freight wagons to New Zealand.

First Managing Director of Business at Indonesia Eximbank, Anton Herdianto, said the financing was extended through the National Interest Account (NIA), a government-backed export financing facility.

"Through the National Interest Account facility, Indonesia Eximbank carries out the state's mandate to ensure that Indonesia's leading manufactured products, such as those produced by PT INKA, continue expanding their reach into global markets," Anton said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Tuesday.
