Banten, March 10 -- Culture Minister Fadli Zon emphasized the importance of Indonesia harnessing its national musical wealth as part of its soft power, projected as a robust instrument of cultural diplomacy in global engagements.
"We hope that Indonesian music will become a frontliner of our culture on the international stage. As other countries have leveraged music as soft power, we envision an 'Indonesian wave' emerging from our own musical wealth," he remarked.
The minister highlighted Indonesia's musical strength during an event marking the 2026 National Music Day in Banten on Monday, March 9, according to a statement received on Tuesday.
