Jakarta, Oct. 5 -- The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has assured that Indonesian fishery products and their derivatives entering the Saudi Arabian market meet established quality standards and are safe for consumption.
This statement comes amid growing export opportunities to Saudi Arabia, particularly to support the needs of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
"As a quality assurance body, we have conducted inspections to ensure the implementation of sanitation, hygiene, and food safety principles throughout the fishery supply chain," said Head of the Ministry's Product Quality Control and Supervision Agency, Ishartini, in a statement on Saturday.
