Indonesia economy grows 5.61 pct on strong household spending
Jakarta, May 14 -- Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the national economy's 5.61-percent growth in the first quarter of 2026 indicates that household purchasing power is being maintained.
"The largest contributor to economic growth was household consumption. This shows that household purchasing power remains strong," he stated in a written statement here on Thursday.
He explained that understanding the structure of economic growth needs to be viewed through the contribution of each component to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
