Jakarta, July 13 -- Indonesian immigration authorities have deported a Chinese national, identified only as XP, who was wanted in his home country for allegedly committing fraud worth 12.7 million yuan (approximately US$1.8 million).
XP was deported on Saturday, July 12, from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said that XP had been indicted by the Guangzhou Prosecutor's Office in January. He was apprehended by Indonesian police in Tabanan, Bali, on July 10, and was found without a valid stay permit.
Following his arrest, XP was transferred to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further examination and placed in a detention facility...
