Jakarta, Sept. 21 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said his ministry is seeking collaboration with leaders of 44 district governments nationwide to develop production sites of bioethanol based on sugarcane, cassava, and corn to strengthen energy security.

Speaking after a coordination meeting with the 44 district heads in Jakarta on Monday, he said the Agriculture Ministry aims to bring regional governments together to map land potential, identify suitable commodities, and assess each region's readiness to supply feedstock for the bioethanol initiative.
