Indonesia confirms funds to cover high-speed rail debt obligations
Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Finance has sufficient internal resources to fulfill debt repayment obligations for the Whoosh Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project following a planned mid-September ownership transfer, an official said on Monday.
Speaking at the Presidential Palace, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the government will not seek external investors to service the project's debt, as required capital will be drawn from state-owned enterprises operating under the ministry's purview.
