Jakarta, Oct. 8 -- Indonesia's Foreign Minister Sugiono has described the peace proposal for Gaza initiated by US President Donald Trump as a concrete and progressive step toward resolving the conflict.
"We consider this a concrete and progressive step after a long time," Sugiono said at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He noted that Indonesia had participated in related discussions with several foreign ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to him, all parties at the meeting agreed that US involvement is crucial in efforts to achieve peace in Gaza.
Sugiono said the peace proposal has also received positive responses from both conflicting sides.
