Jakarta, Oct. 29 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized the importance of collaboration among Indo-Pacific nations to drive global economic growth.

Speaking at the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Hartarto stressed that the Indo-Pacific region plays a crucial role as the epicenter of the world economy.

In an official statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday, Hartarto noted that the region contributes nearly two-thirds of global economic growth and accounts for almost half of the world's trade volume.

The Indo-Pacific is home to nearly 60 percent of the world's population and generates over 50 percent of global Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
