Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- Indonesia called on the international community to unite against what it described as Israel's escalating actions in the Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the Al Aqsa Mosque, during a ministerial meeting in Jordan.

Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir delivered the message at a ministerial meeting on Jerusalem and its holy sites in Amman on Wednesday, according to a Foreign Ministry statement issued Thursday.

"Indonesia urged the international community to abandon silence over Israel's violations and not allow itself to become divided in responding to them," Nasir said.
