Jakarta, March 28 -- The Ministry of Transportation is finalizing strategy to manage the second peak of homecoming return traffic on March 28-29 at Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, East Java, to ensure smooth crossings and reduce congestion.

The ministry's Director General of Land Transportation, Aan Suhanan, said that related stakeholders had held a coordination meeting to finalize the strategy ahead of the return flow peak.

"We must prioritize crossing services from Ketapang to Gilimanuk during this return flow. The Arrival-Unloading-Departure (TBB) mechanism must be implemented quickly and without delay, in accordance with real situation on the ground," he remarked in a statement on Saturday.
