Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Home Affairs is advancing the transformation of coastal village economies through the Red and White Village Cooperatives program, aiming to strengthen the blue economy and boost maritime and fisheries downstream industries.
The initiative seeks to improve the welfare of coastal communities while ensuring sustainable use of natural resources, in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita agenda.
"This is part of our joint commitment to implement Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2025 on accelerating the establishment of Red and White Village Cooperatives," said Amran, Director of Regions, Urban Areas, and Border Affairs, during a meeting here Thursday.
