Jakarta, Dec. 15 -- The government reiterated its commitment to increasing the value of Indonesia's natural resources through downstreaming efforts, aiming to lift the country out of the middle-income trap and transform it into a developed industrial nation.
In a statement cited in Jakarta on Monday, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani pointed out that Indonesia has been globally recognized as a powerhouse of various valuable, strategic commodities, most notably nickel and palm oil.
"It is these resources that position our country at the core of the global energy transition agenda," he affirmed.
