Jakarta, July 18 -- Indonesia has played an active role in the establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO) as a strategic platform for international cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI).

"From Indonesia's perspective, WAICO is not merely a consultative forum but an integral part of global AI governance and equitable technology transfer," Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo said in a statement on Saturday.

According to Angga, Indonesia's commitment is aligned with the country's national AI policy framework currently under development.
