Jakarta, Oct. 26 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed support for the United States' continued engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including its role in mediating the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia.

"This engagement is very positive for both ASEAN and the US. We are pleased that the US has helped mediate the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia," Prabowo said during a doorstep interview on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The Indonesian head of state also noted that the ASEAN Summit has delivered positive outcomes for the region.

"The results of this summit are very positive," he affirmed.
