Indonesia backs China, Nepal rescue efforts after deadly floods
Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Indonesia fully supports rescue and post-disaster response efforts by the Chinese and Nepalese governments following deadly flash floods in the Gyirong border area, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela said.
"Indonesia extends its deepest sympathy and condolences over the disaster in Gyirong, on the China-Nepal border, which caused deaths, injuries and damage to public infrastructure," Mulachela said.
He said Indonesia fully supports the rescue and post-disaster response efforts being carried out by the Chinese and Nepalese governments.
