Jakarta, Feb. 7 -- Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and its business advisory arm on Saturday, as regional economies prepare for a year of talks under China's 2026 chairmanship.

Anindya Novyan Bakrie, chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), said Indonesia stood ready to support the APEC Business Advisory Council's work, stressing Jakarta's backing for initiatives that deliver concrete outcomes for the region.

"Indonesia is always ready to support ABAC's impactful and action-oriented work, reaffirming our support for APEC and ABAC under China's leadership," Anindya said at the opening of the first ABAC meeting for 2026 in Jakarta.
