Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry (KKP) has begun verifying land readiness, management institutions, and business plans for 1,000 potential sites for the Red and White Fishing Villages (KNMP), which are slated for development by 2027.

Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono stated in a press briefing in Jakarta on Friday that the assessment is crucial to ensure development meets fishing communities' needs and is supported by a management framework that guarantees long-term sustainability.
