Jakarta, June 26 -- The Indonesian Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) arrested Beijing fugitive Zheng Rongjing upon his arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday (June 25) over an international online fraud case.

"In order to eradicate online fraud crimes affiliated with international crime syndicates, we have arrested Zheng Rongjing, the subject of an Interpol Notice, at the request of NCB-Interpol Beijing," the Secretary of NCB-Interpol Indonesia, Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, informed on Friday.

The arrest began when NCB-Interpol Beijing submitted a request to NCB-Interpol Jakarta on March 5, 2026, to track and arrest Zheng Rongjing, suspected of being a major player in online fraud.
