Jakarta (ANTARA) - Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid welcomed the decision of global social media platform TikTok to comply with Indonesia's regulation regarding electronic system governance for child protection (PP Tunas).

This regulation stipulates restrictions on social media access for children under the age of 16.

"We are delighted that today the government can express its appreciation to the TikTok platform for deciding to join this joint movement to protect children, especially in Indonesia," Hafid stated here on Tuesday.
