Jakarta, Oct. 22 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that Indonesia and South Africa have agreed to expedite the implementation of the defense cooperation agreement signed in 2023.
"In the defense sector, we have agreed to accelerate the implementation of the defense cooperation agreement we signed in 2023. We will move forward on that," he remarked in a joint statement with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The two countries also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the agriculture, energy, and people-to-people relations sectors, including science and education, along with the possibility of implementing reciprocal visa-free travel, he continued.
