Magetan,, Nov. 2 -- Indonesia's Air Force (TNI AU) carried out defensive surface attack training (DSAT) at Iswahjudi Air Base as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country's air defense capabilities.

The exercise, part of Mission Oriented Training (MOT) 2025, runs from Oct. 25 to Nov. 6, Air Base Commander Air Marshal Muchtadi Anjar Legowo said in Magetan, East Java.

"DSAT is an aerial combat drill focused on attacking ground targets while defending against enemy threats," he said in a statement quoted by ANTARA on Sunday.

The exercise involved 12 sorties, including F-16 Fighting Falcons from Squadrons 3 and 14, Golden Eagle T-50i jets from Squadron 15, and Sukhoi Su-27/30 aircraft from Squadron 11 based in Makassar.
