Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Indonesia and Uruguay have taken steps to establish a bilateral cultural cooperation framework, with Indonesian Culture Minister Fadli Zon signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Jakarta on Friday.

The agreement covers exchanges and participation in cultural activities, including exchanges of artists, cultural practitioners, experts, and delegations from both countries.

It also provides for cooperation between cultural institutions, including museums and historical manuscript preservation institutions, as well as literary development, translation, publishing, film, and audiovisual production.
