Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Indonesia and the United Kingdom have partnered in two initiatives: the Nature Transition Support Programme (NTSP) to preserve biodiversity in three national parks, and the Nature Investment Partnership (KIBAR) to advance social forestry.

The government stated that the NTSP, carried out with the UK, aims to protect biodiversity in Way Kambas National Park in East Lampung, as well as Tanjung Puting and Sebangau National Parks in Central Kalimantan.

"With this program, apart from maintaining biodiversity in Way Kambas, we can also maximize its potential. By protecting the national park, we can improve carbon credit and biodiversity credit," Forestry Affairs Minister Raja Juli Antoni said in East Lampung on Saturday.
